Job Description:
Medical Biller/Medical Collector who has experience with both
medical billing and collections.
The Medical Billers/Medical Collectors are responsible for first
time calls to the Insurance Carriers, payment schedules and follow
up calls, and initiating calls that require supervisory
intervention to insure payment. They reconcile payments on EOB?s,
accounts receivable calls at the end of each month along with
follow up letters.
They are also responsible for keeping up with the collection
turn-around time. Medical Billers/ Medical Collectors ensure that
claims are received, review payments that have been received and
check that all codes are accounted for. They are responsible for
all secondary submissions insuring that the process moves forward
smoothly and in a timely manner.
