As the MRI Technologist you will perform\nbasic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post- processing\nresponsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human\ncross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical\nterminology. You will be expected to support all\nimaging centers staffed by our organization. You will be required to\nmaintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image\nacquisition/formation. You will be expected to support all imaging centers\nstaffed by our organization. You will also need to apply your knowledge of\nmagnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to\nadmittance into the MR magnet room. You will: \n Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders \n Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures\n performed \n Operate a variety of post-processing/3D\n workstations \n Perform accurate image archival \n Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media \n Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of\n the patient \n *Internal\ncandidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder\nlevel* Salary\nRange: $52.22 - $68.84 Hourly Qualifications Please\nensure your resume and application includes all relevant certifications and\nlicenses. \n Licenses \n \n A combination\n of the ARRT and CRT – required. MR certificate required \n \n OR you\nneed \n \n A combination\n of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) – required \n \n \n BCLS from American Heart\n Association or American Red Cross – required \n Graduate from a AMA Radiologic\n Technologist Program – required \n Venipuncture certificate –\n preferred \n AA or BS – preferred \n At least 1 year of MRI experience\n – preferred \n Siemens experience – preferred \n Ability to adapt to advancements\n and changing technologies \n Ability to identify\n contraindications for exams \n Excellent communication,\n interpersonal and independent decision-making skills \n Familiarity with clinical billing\n (IDX codes) \n Knowledge of human anatomy and\n pathology \n Strong attention to detail and\n multi-tasking abilities \n You will be required to rotate to\n all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health \n
