Job Description:
The Dental Consumer Relations Specialist (Dental CRS) is a
customer friendly individual who performs services and duties
related to patient managed care eligibility and processing for
benefit services related to eligibility determination of clinic
payer program. May serve as a back-up to all primary Dental
Business Office duties, i.e. Registration and Medical Records
Dental Managed Care Referrals. Acts as lead person for all
department projects. Reports to: RDA Business Office Manager/
Dental Business Office Manager Qualifications: 1. High school
graduate or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate with
two years of experience in a community organization solving
consumer problems. 2. Prior experience in or working knowledge of a
dental managed care environment preferred. 3. Fluency in English
(speaks, read and write) 4. Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate,
read and write). 5. Some knowledge and understanding of medical
terminology, and billing codes preferred. 6. Ability to utilize a
personal computer, with working knowledge of Microsoft office
programs to include Microsoft Outlook. 7. Willing and able to work
a flexible and sometimes variable schedule to accommodate the needs
of the health center. 8. Current California driver’s license,
appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to
the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job). 9.
Prior experience as a Registration Clerk / Dental Team Clerk is
