Job Description:
Description The Intern, Project Engineer will support
Engineering and CAPEX projects within a GMP biopharmaceutical
environment, gaining hands-on experience across the full project
lifecycle. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams
such as Process Development (PD), Manufacturing, Facility,
validation, QC, QA, etc. contributing to project design, build,
execution, and closeout. We're thrilled to provide a 10-week paid
internship at our facility in Tustin, CA . As an intern, you'll
dive deep into our team culture, take on significant projects, and
play a vital role in our team's dynamics. This temporary, 40-hour
per week office position is designed to offer you a wealth of
experience and the chance to connect with professionals in the
industry. Key Responsibilities: Support engineering activities in a
GMP biomanufacturing facility, assisting with daily project work,
execution, and coordinating. Collaborate with engineering teams,
cross-functional team, and external contractors on project design
for PD and GMP manufacturing. Assist in execution of CAPEX projects
across the design, construction, build, installation,
commissioning, qualification, and project closeout phases. Support
project manager in tracking project activities, timelines, progress
and against the plan, identifying risks or issues and following up
with the action items. Support in maintaining project documents,
such as dashboards, tracker, reports. Participate in field
execution, construction, installation, commissioning activities,
coordinating with vendors, contractors, and Avid project team.
Participate in design review, P&ID drawing review, redline
markup, field survey, equipment/utility specification and
calculations, commissioning/start up report review, turn over
package review, etc., and gain hand-on experience and knowledge in
project execution. Help manage vendor documents, including
drawings, design package, turn-over package, FAT/SAT, etc. Assist
with change control processes, including documentation, impact
assessment, and implementation tracking. Gain exposure to automaton
system and support related activities. Gain knowledge of Biotech
manufacturing equipment, clean utility, facility systems. Minimum
Qualifications: Ability to work independently and as part of a
team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills Availability
to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Tustin,
CA facility. Authorization to work in the country where the
internship is located. Preferred Qualifications: Currently pursuing
a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Civil
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Construction Management, or Engineering related majors. Strong
analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the
ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Technical
writing and communication skills to convey project updates Basic
proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and, for
some roles, data analysis or programming tools Familiarity with
pharmaceutical facility, utilities (HVAC, WFI, UPS, etc.), process
equipment (bioreactors, etc.), P&ID drawings, and regulatory
compliance (FDA, cGMP, ISO standard) is preferred. Position
Type/Expected Hours of Work: This role is a temporary position
operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule.
Starting from Monday, June 15 th through Friday, August 21 st .

Compensation: The compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour.
