Job Description As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role
in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a
culture of safety within our organization. This position is
essential to our commitment to maintaining a safe working
environment for all employees. Responsibilities Lead and drive the
safety committee and all associated activities, schedule and
conduct monthly and quarterly safety meetings. Monitor potential
health and safety conditions of the workplace, identify problems,
recommend solutions, and ensure that ongoing safety systems are
updated in coordination with the safety committee. Develop and
maintain records for safety programs, including training logs,
reports, and inspections. Facilitate investigations of near-misses,
accidents, and the root causes of injuries or illnesses. Conduct
annual Safety and Environmental training as required by federal,
state, and local regulations. Ensure the development and updating
of necessary written safety and health programs, plans, and
policies, such as IIPP and EHS programs. Support management in the
implementation of safety plans. Respond to emergency calls related
to injuries, accidents, and alarm systems. Follow all aspects of
Maintenance Safety Protocol (LOTO) to ensure the safety of the
maintenance team. Order and maintain all safety supplies. Essential
Skills 5 years of experience in the Environment Health and Safety
field within a manufacturing industry. Proven knowledge and
understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations,
principles, and practices. Familiarity with CAL-OSHA, CAL-EPA, DOT,
NFPA. Experience with handling hazardous waste. Demonstrated
project management, planning, team building, and organizational
skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in using power
and hand tools. Ability to work within specific timelines and meet
critical deadlines. Knowledge of safe operation procedures,
including LOTO, safety welding practices, and PPE use. Strong
computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read, write, and
understand blueprints is a plus. Desired certifications include
OSHA Certification, HAZWOPER Incident Commander, Train the Trainer
Certification, Forklift Certification, and CPR Certification. Why

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out
of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this
position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to
some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length
of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to
