Job Description Job Description 2-3 Month Contract Job Opportunity Job Description We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team for a temporary assignment. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for packaging tasks with the potential to train on a cherry picker. You will be operating electric forklifts, including the Counterbalance (sit-down, rider) and pallet jack. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your material handling skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Obtain merchandise from Inventory Control to complete orders, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities. Load and unload trucks and various other material transportation vehicles. Complete shipping documents accurately. Perform lifting tasks up to 70 lb. Maintain legible handwriting for documentation purposes. Assist in warehouse maintenance activities. Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards. Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management. Essential Skills At least 2 years of prior experience with electric forklifts. Experience in packing, material handling, and inventory management. Must have passed yearly forklift certification testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform packaging tasks efficiently. Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and similar equipment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a distribution center with a schedule of 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The facility is well-equipped with electric forklifts, including Counterbalance and pallet jacks. The position requires a casual dress code suitable for warehouse activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
