If you're interested in joining a high performing team, pushing the boundaries with a clean sheet development of re-usable liquid launch vehicle, this is your opportunity!Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California, the Senior Orbital Tube Welder will weld and fabricate various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

• Follow procedures to set up and operate the Orbital Weld System
• Weld assemblies according to work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions
• Use inspection gauges
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications within tight tolerances
• Maintain a clean work areaRequirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Orbital Tube Welding
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with materials like Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Knowledge of creating weld schedules
  • Capability to cut and fit 1-6" tube tubingAdditional nice-to-have qualifications include knowledge of Part QA processes, dye penetrant testing, high manual dexterity, proficiency in blueprints, and knowledge of AMI 207 and 217.Additional requirements include willingness to work shifts (morning or evening), ability to travel, extended hours, and physical capabilities such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and repetitive motions.Salary and benefits details, along with expectations and legal considerations, are included in the full description.
